Answer:

45 and 15

Step-by-step explanation:

Let father's present age be x and son's present age be y

x=3y....EQ1

(x+5)=2.5(y+5)

2x+10=5y+25

2x=5y+15....EQ2

From EQ1 and EQ2

x= 45

y=15

Answer: your(person)  age will be 45 years and  his Son's age will be 15 years

Step-by-step explanation:

let person's present age be x.

and present age of son = y

ATO,

        x = 3y                                                 eq (i)

after 5 years,

                        person's  age will be x+5.

                    son's age will be y+5

According to question,

                                       x+5 = 2.5(y+5)

                                    x+5 = 2.5y + 12.5

                                     x-2.5y = 12.5 - 5

                                  x - 2.5y = 7.5          eq (ii)

            subsituting x = 3y in eq (ii)

                    3y - 2.5y = 7.5

                           0.5 y = 7.5

                                y  =  7.5 /0.5

                                 y = 15

subsituting y = 15 in eq (i)

 x = 3(15)

x = 45

hence your(person)  age will be 45 years and  his Son's age will be 15 years
