Let the tens digit be x and ones digit be y.

A.T.Q,

x + y = 12 ----(i)

y = 2x -------(ii)

Putting y = 2x in eq.(i)

x + y = 12

x + 2x = 12

3x = 12

x = 12/3 = 4

x + y = 12

4 + y = 12

y = 12 - 4

y = 8

Therefore Number is 10x + y or 10(4) + 8

Answer:

let one digit no.=x

tens digit no.=y

then the no. =10y+x

A.T.Q

x+y=12............(1.)

Again A.T.Q

x=2y............(2.)

put the value of x in equation 1.

2y+y=12

3y=12

y=12/3

y=4

then put the value of y in equation 2.

x=2×4

x=8

number=10y+x

=10×4+8

=40+8

=48 answer.
