Let the tens digit be x and ones digit be y.

x + y = 12 ----(i)

y = 2x -------(ii)

Putting y = 2x in eq.(i)

x + y = 12

x + 2x = 12

3x = 12

x = 12/3 = 4

x + y = 12

4 + y = 12

y = 12 - 4

y = 8

Therefore Number is 10x + y or 10(4) + 8
