This is not easy to answer because there are no easy shortcuts. Even Americans, whose first language is English, are weak in English grammar. For example, many of them write "your" in place of "you're". The words "you" and "you are" have different meaning and usage.

In the past people used to say that their favourite hobby is reading. But nowadays reading is becoming less important. Multiple choice in exams mean we have little opportunity to improve our compositions.

I encourage you to be positive and confident. A good teacher is first a good learner. A good writer is first a good reader. So read more. The more you read and write the more your composition will get better. Read your own compositions or the compositions of others and think about how you can improve those compositions. You can even try to improve the compositions of your teachers.
