1 minute = 60 seconds

∴ 2 minutes 20 seconds = (2*60)+20

                                         = 120+20

                                        = 140 seconds

In 40 seconds he covers 200 m

In 1 second he covers (200/40)=5 m

In 140 seconds he covers (140*5)

                                          = 700 m

So, the distance covered is 700 m

(700/200)

= the result is 3 and the reminder is 100

As it is a circular track so, the displacement is 100 m.
