SOLUTION :-

✮ Let the total no. of students be x

➣ Percent of failed students = (100 - 35)%

➣ 65 %

➠ 65 % of x = 455

➠ 65/100 × x = 455

➠ x = (455 × 100)/65

➠ x = 45500/65

➠ x = 700

Hence Total no.of students were 700.

➻ 35 % of 700 + 455 = 700

➻ 35/100 × 700 + 455 = 700

➻ 35 × 7 + 455 = 700

➻ 245 + 455 = 700
