m=\frac{hi}{h0}=\frac{3}{1}=3

m=\frac{v}{v}=3⇒v=3_{u}

\frac{1}{f}=\frac{1}{v}+\frac{1}{u}=\frac{1}{12}-\frac{1}{4}

\frac{1-3}{12}=\frac{-2}{12}=\frac{1}{6}

f= -6cm

The mirror must be concave mirror of focal length 6 cm i.e.,

R=2f=12cm
