Let the number of employees be “x”.
Number of men = x/3
Number of women = x - (x/3) = 2x/3
In order to make the men staff to be x/4, women staff should be increased to 3x/4 from 2x/3 = 3x/4 - 2x/3 = x/12
Therefore 1/12 women should be hired newly to make the strength of men to go down to 1/4. ——> Answer
