1. To mark their different identity as from whom they were striking........As there is a different way of showing ur disagreement in different countries

2. Jacobins planned the insurrection in the summer of 1792 of the Persians who were angered on the less supplies and high prices of food .

II.

1. The National Assembly of France voted in April 1792, to declare war against Prussia and Austria. Thousands of volunteers thronged from the provinces to join the army. They saw this as a war of the people against kings and aristocracies all over Europe. The revolutionary wars brought losses and economic difficulties to the people. Large sections of the population were convinced that the revolution had to be carried further, as the Constitution of 1791 gave political rights only to the richer sections of society.

  • On June 20th 1789, the newly formed National Assembly gathered in a Versailles tennis court and pledged not to disband until France had a working constitution.

  • The deputies of the Third Estate believed that any reforms to the Ancient Régime must be outlined in and guaranteed by a written framework.

  • A constitution would define the authority, structure and powers of the new government. This would prevent or limit the abuses and injustices of the old order.

  • The National Assembly set about drafting a national constitution almost immediately. The process was a long and difficult one, hampered by differences of opinion, growing radicalism and the events of 1789-91.

  • The fate of the 1791 Constitution, however, hinged on the attitude and actions of King Louis XVI.
