Answers
Answer:
Following is the summary of the poem, the boy who cannot see
Explanation:
There is a little boy in the poem, who was asked about the feeling of what color is like. In the beginning of the poem the readers already know that he cannot see.
He counters the question asked by the poet, as he mentions the color green . He analyses that green to him is like the "rustle", at the time when the wind blows. Next he uses the analogy that its like the forest for him and describes how the running of water is blue. He further describes the color red to be like a trumpet and pink to resemble the smell of roses for him. Furthermore, he feels that purple to him is like a thunderstorm whereas yellow is warm and soft in nature.
He calls white, a pleasant stillness, as if something is just there. The feeling is nice and as if time stops.
Analysis:
He shows the readers the way of life and hoe blessed we truly are, those of us who have the blessing of sight and on the other hand this poem also invokes other senses in people, who have sight to be able to compare it.
Answer:
It shows that blind people can sense colors. Just because they are blind doesn't mean they are small .
