The man was asked that where he lived by me .

Or

The man was asked by me that where he lived

Answer :-

"I asked the man where he lived".

The above sentence is already in indirect speech, so it's direct Speech is :-

I said to the man, "Where do you live ?"

Here, "asked" changed into "said to" , "where he lived" changed into "where do you live".

Some important points :-

• When we ask something from anyone or give someone order or request, then we uses words like asked, ordered, requested, etc. These are considered to be "imperative sentences".

• While changing direct Speech to Indirect speech, conjunctions are applied.

• Tenses also change in the conversion of direct to Indirect or indirect to direct Speech.

• The inverted commas are removed in indirect speech.
