I believe that India (1) __________ (get) its first vision of freedom in 1857, when we (2) __________ (start) the War of Independence. It (3) __________ (be) this freedom that we must protect and (4) __________ (nurture) and build on. If we are not(5) _________ (free), no one will respect us. My second vision for India is (6) __________ (develop). For fifty years we (7) __________ (be) a developing nation. It is time we (8) __________ (see) ourselves as a developed nation. We are among the top five nations in the world in terms of GDP. We have ten percent growth rate in most areas. Our poverty levels (9) _________ (fall). Our achievements are being globally recognised today. Yet we (10) __________ (lack) the self confidence to see ourselves as a developed nation, self reliant and self assured. Isn't this incorrect? I have a third vision. India must stand up to the world. Because I believe that unless India stands up to the world, no one will respect us. Only strength respects strength.
