The number of oranges I bought is equal to 12.

Let the number of oranges bought by I be equal to x.

The cost price of 4 oranges = Rs. 1

Cost price of x oranges = Rs. x/4

The selling price of 3 oranges = Rs. 1

Selling price of x oranges = Rs. x/3

Total profit earned = Selling price of the oranges - cost price of the oranges

1 = x/3 - x/4

=> 12 = x

The number of oranges bought by I = 12
