➤ Answer :-

Total ribbon left with me =

 \dashrightarrow \tt \frac{7}{8} - \frac{1}{2} \\

LCM of 8 and 2 is 8.

 \dashrightarrow \tt \frac{7}{8} - \frac{1 \times 4}{2 \times 4} \\

 \dashrightarrow \tt \frac{7}{8} - \frac{4}{8} = \frac{7 - 4}{8} \\

 \dashrightarrow \tt \frac{3}{8} \\

\Huge\therefore \tt\frac{3}{8} \\ of the ribbon is left with me.
