HELLO MY DEAR FRIEND

HERE IS UR ANSWER -

                       ABOUT SEED DISPERSAL

SEEDS ARE CARRIED FROM ONE PLACE TO ANOTHER PLACE SO THAT THEY GET SUITABLE CONDITIONS TO GROW THIS IS KNOW AS 'DISPERSAL OF SEEDS'. SEEDS DISPERSAL IS ESSENTIAL FOR SURVIVAL OF PLANTS. SEEDS ARE OF DIFFERENT SHAPES AND SIZES AND STRUCTURES ON THEM THAT HELPS IN DISPERSAL. SEEDS ARE DISPERSED BY DIFFERENT WAYS ALL SEEDS ARE NOT DISPERSED IN SAME WAY. SEEDS DISPERSED BY WIND, WATER, BIRDS AND ANIMALS.

THE SEEDS THAT ARE DISPERSED THROUGH THE AIR/WIND ARE USUALLY LIGHT IN WEIGHT AND ARE EITHER VERY SMALL OR ARE LIGHT WITH THE WINGS ON THEM OR SOME HAIRY STRUCTURES ON THEM. FOR EXAMPLE - SEEDS THAT ARE DISPERSAL BY THE WIND ARE - DANDELION.

SOME SEEDS ARE STICKY AND GET STRUCK TO THE BEAKS OF BIRDS AND IN COURSE OF FLIGHT. THEY FALL DOWN AT DISTANT PLACES. IN CASE OF FLESHY FRUITS, THE FRUITS EATEN BY ANIMAL WHILE SOME DAY FRUITS, WITH SPECIALIZED STRUCTURES LIKE HOOKS, THORNS, HAIRY PARTS, GET STUCK TO THE BODIES OF ANIMALS AND GET CARRIED TO DISTANT PLACES.

SOME SEEDS ARE HEAVY IN WEIGHT THIS TYPE OF SEEDS ARE DISPERSED BY THE WATER.FOR EXAMPLE - COCONUT. COCONUTS ARE FOUND ALMOST NEAR THE SEA SHORES. THE ENTIRE COCONUT FRUIT FLOATS ON WATER AND MOVES FROM ONE PLACE TO ANOTHER. WHEN IT REACHES THE GROUND IT GERMINATES. BECAUSE OF THIS REASON WE USUALLY FOUND COCONUT TREES NEAR SEA SHORES.

THE SEEDS ADAPTED TO FLOAT ON WATER ARE USUALLY  LIGHT. THE OUTER COVERING OF THIS SEEDS HAS EMPTY SPACES FILLED WITH THE AIR AND SOME ARE FIBROUS WITH AIR SPACES THAT ENCLOSES THE WHOLE SEED OR FRUIT.

I HOPE THIS WILL HELP'S U...........*-*
