I can't understand that why always girls are raped why they only have to become a victim....

Last week a 16-year-old girl have suffered a rape from more than 33 men in a slung in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The case became famous because one of the rapists have exposed a video and pictures of the rape online. The news was outrageous, however, lots of people, including the former investigate gator of the case have given statements blaming the victim, which lead to a massive amount of posts on social media about Rape culture and how this issue is being actually seen by society. Education seems to be the best alternative understand how sexism and violence work together in turning being a girl sometimes more dangerous than a gun. This made me wonder, what can we do? Bring awareness is the first step, but how this can change effectively?
