i cannot understand some problems in mensuration

sowndarya24: a square park has each side of 100m.at each corner of the park there is a flower bed in the form of a quadrant of radius 14m .find the area of the remaining portion of the park
vanshikagupta: that is very easy...
vanshikagupta: the area of the square park is 100*4= 400m
vanshikagupta: now are of circle= 2*pie*r and no of flower beds is 4 . So take out the are of the circle and subtract it from 400. You will get the answer
VindhyaK: Area of a circle = pie*r*r
VindhyaK: 2*pie*r is for circumference
