Let us consider the amount paid by each of the x number of subscribers be Rs. y

Then total fund collectioned = Rs. xy

By the given condition, the money paid by each subscriber = twice the number of subscribers, and this implies

y = 2x ..... (1)

ATQ, xy = 720 * 1000

or, x (2x) = 720000

or, x² = 360000

or, x = 600

Then the number of subscribers is 600 and money paid by each of them is Rs. (2 * 600), i.e., Rs. 1200
