Question :-

I.) Combine the following sentences using relative clause:

Concept :-

Here the concept of relative clause has been used. Relative clauses are those clauses which shows the relation between the main clause and subordinate clause. Even, they are like adverbs.

Answer :-

15. There is a dog in the kennel. It has brown collar.

There is a dog in the kennel which has brown collar.

Here the main clause is : There is a dog in the kennel and, subordinate clause is : It has brown collar. If we add which to the subordinate clause, it will surely make the subordinate clause complete and additional informative for main clause.

16. Mohini is my cousin. She is sitting on the couch.

She is my cousin Mohini who is sitting on the couch.

Here the main clause is : Mohini is my cousin and subordinate clause is : she is sitting on the couch. Now if we add the relative pronoun who and rearrange, we can get the relative clause depending on main clause.

17. My mother baked a cake for my birthday. It was delicious.

My mother baked a cake for my birthday which was delicious.

Here the main clause is : My mother baked a cake for my birthday and subordinate clause is it was delicious. We can simply add the relative pronoun which to the subordinate clause to make it relative clause.
