(i)Compressibility factor of a gas is given as , Z = PV / nRT
(a) what is the value of Z for an ideal gas?
(b)For a real gas what will be the effect on value of Z above Boyle temperature ?

Actually Welcome to the Concept of the Gaseous state

Basically here , we are going to discuss about the IDEAL GAS EQUATION AND COMPRESSIBILITY FACTOR

since we know that,

Ideal gas equation is given as,

PV = nRT,

so from this, there is direct relation in the temperature and volume,

we get, Z=1

,

Above the boyle Temperature, The value of Z will decrease gradually.

Relation of density and molar mass is given as,

n = given mass/ molar mass

this,

Density = mass/ volume

Volume = mass / density

thus we get as

inverse relation between them
