i) Construct a triangle ABC such that BC = 4 CM , AB = 5 CM and angle B = 90 °
ii) Construct a triangle with length of sides 6 CM, 8 CM and 5.5 CM .

We follow several steps in the construction:

1. Draw a ling segment which is sufficiently long using ruler.

2. Locate points A and B on it such that AB=5cm.

3. With A as centre and radius 4cm, draw an arc.

4. With B as centre and radius 4.3cm, draw another arc cutting the previous arc at C.

5. Join AC and BC

Then ABC is the required triangle

2. Taking B as Centre and 3.5 cm as radius construct an arc.

3. Taking C as Centre and 5 cm as radius construct another arc which intersects the first arc at the point A.

Therefore, ΔABC is the required triangle
