1)cost of service=5000

discount=20% =20/100*5000=1000

gst=12%=12/100*5000=600

therefore..total amount = 5000-1000+600=4600

2) cost = 12500

dis=40%

gst=18%

discount=40/100*12500=8000

gst=18/100*12500=2250

therefore total amount=12500-8000+2250=6750

total amount for both transaction= 4600+6750=11350

Answer:

The total amount of bill = Rs 14,350

Step-by-step explanation:

(i).

Cost of services = 5,000

Discount = 20%

GST = 12%

Discount = 20%

⇒ 20% of 5000 :

⇒ 20 / 100 × 5000

⇒ 20 × 5000 / 100

⇒ 100000 / 100

⇒ 1000

GST = 12%

⇒ 12% of 5000

⇒ 12 / 100 × 5000

⇒ 12 × 5000 / 100

⇒ 60000 / 100

600

⇒ Price after discount + GST

⇒ 5000 - 1000 = 4000

⇒ 4000 + 600

Rs 4600

(ii).

Cost of services = 12,500

Discount = 40%

GST = 18%

Discount = 40%

⇒ 40% of 12,500 :

⇒ 40 / 100 × 12, 500

⇒ 40 × 12,500 / 100

⇒ 500000 / 100

⇒ 5000

GST = 18%

⇒ 18% of 12,500

⇒ 18 / 100 × 12,500

⇒ 18 × 12,500 / 100

⇒ 225000 / 100

2250

⇒ Price after discount + GST

⇒ 12,500 - 5000 = 7500

⇒ 7500 + 2250

Rs 9750

The total amount of bill :

⇒ Rs 4600 + Rs 9750

Rs 14,350
