Answer:

Break' in monsoon means that the monsoon has alternate wet and dry spells. This means that the monsoon rains take place for a few days at a time. These wet spells are interspersed with dry spells related to the movement of the monsoon trough. ... That is why the monsoon is considered a unifying bond.

ANSWER:-

i)Monsoon is defined as a seasonal change in the direction of the strongest prevailing wind. In India during summers monsoons bring rainfall and humidity and hence seasonal change. Strong or weak monsoons has their own effect and influence the climate, economy and life of people.

ii)Monsoon is considered as a unifying factor because of the following reasons:

  • The Himalayas protect the subcontinent from extremely cold winds from central Asia. This enables northern India to have uniformly higher temperatures when compared to other areas on the same latitudes.

  • The peninsular plateau, under the influence of the sea from three sides, has moderate temperatures.
