There are 2 voices, Active and Passive.

Active voice - Ramu killed the snake.

It follows a Subject + verb + Object form.

Passive voice - Snake was killed by Ramu.

It follows a Object + verb + Subject form.

Subject - person who does the action/verb.

Object - person that the verb is done to
