Difference between reproduction in amoeba Binary fission and Multiple fission.​

Explanation:

  • Binary fission : When two daughter cells are formed from the splitting of the parent’s cell or Nucleus.

                               It occurs when favourable conditions is found.

                               The division takes place only once.

                               Both the Nucleus and cytoplasm divide simultaneously.

                               It includes definite pattern of division.

                               Example: Amoeba, Bacteria, Euglena, etc.,

  • Multiple fission : Many daughter cells are formed from the splitting of the parent’s cell or Nucleus.

                                 It occurs during unfavourable conditions.

                                The division takes place repeatedly

                                The nucleus divides 1st and is surrounded by cytoplasm.

                                 Has no definite pattern of division.

                                 Example: Plasmodium, Sporozoans, Algae, etc.
