Two months of holidays or may be a lot more,
Indulged in making the memories that last ages, we four!
It’s been long, since we heard the the bedtime stories,
And once again, our nights are filled with giggles. Can be heard to storeys!
Those sketchbooks in the corner got my glance,
Slow steps made their way to take those beauties into my hands.
This time, brother too joined me with hands full of acrylic,
And the painting finds its way to the canvas, all frolic!
Days passing with no homework and no exams,
Day and nights, all we do is to follow the commands of our little hearts.
Never know, living the life on our own terms can be this brighter,
Who says, all these memories cannot be able to beat the school days? Liar!
Hey, I learnt how to make a perfect round roti,
Still sulking, as I can’t beat my brother in making the tea.
Forgot to tell, Dad has started a business page on my name,
Yay! I can now sell those little doodles of mine and get fame.
Mom says, Life will always keep on giving surprises,
Be they the failures or success or bucket full of praises.
Patted my head and said “Do what your heart says”,
And there I did happily, now I am not missing my school days.
