‎I don't know why people use 'while' here? .
I think the past perfect happends before past continuous , therefor 'while' is not suitable ?

see here it does not matter anything about past perfect or continuous . in the 3rd sentence he burnt his hand but when it cannot be until cooking, or already cooking but the answer is while cooking....
