Those are not irregular shapes. They are compound shape meaning that they are a combination of two or more shapes.

For example in question number 1. The shape consists of a rectangular base and a triangular top.

Area of the compound Shape=area of rectangle + area of triangle

=(length x breadth) + (1/2 x base x height)

= 18x9 + 1/2x18x(18-9)

=162+81

= 243 cm square.

To understand better the figure draw a dotted line to divide the shape into two simpler shapes.
