I don't understand this sum

(refer to my figure where i have labelled the shapes)

a) length of the rectangle

QR or SP will be equal to AC of the rhombus

i.e. 12 cm

b) breadth of the rectangle

PQ or RS will be equal to BO or OD or the rhombus i.e. 8/2 = 4 cm

c) area of the rectangle

=> length × breadth

=> 12 × 4

=> 48 cm^2

d) area of the rhombus

=> area of rectangle

=> 48 cm^2
