Mourad and Aram both knew about the stealing of the horse. It was Mourad who had stolen the horse and had included Aram to enjoy the ride. He didn't want the blame of stealing the horse would be on both of them. He didn't want people to know that both of them had an equal share in stealing the horse. Mourad and Aram both belonged to the community which was popular for being trustworthy and known for their decency.

This line is said by Maurad to Aram. He didn't wanted the member of garoghlanian family to be called liars when someone found them out with the horse. He wanted Aram to say that they started riding in the morning,and that's what is known by Aram and is not a lie.
