The difference between :

1. RICE :

1. it is the most important staple crop of India which feeds more than the half of our population.

2.it is a kharif crop in North India.

3.it is mainly a tropical crop and requires a mean temperature of 24 degree C and annual rainfall of 150 cm.

4. Deep fertile clayey or loamy soils are well suited for rice cultivation..

5.It is cultivated by two methods (a) the dry method (b) the puddled method.

2. WHEAT

1. It is the second most important food crop in the country after rice.

2.It forms the staple food for people in northern and north western parts of the country.

3.It is a rabi crop.

4. Ideally temperature in the range of 10 degree C - 15 degree C is suitable for sowing and 20 degree C to 25 degree C during harvesting. It requires 80 cm of ideal rainfall...

5.Wheat grows best in well drained loams and clay loams..
