In line m ,

x + 145° = 180°(linear pair)

x = 180 - 145 = 35°

⇒ Angle on l and angle on m are equal (35°)

Therefore, by  \: alternative \:  interior angles \:  property

 l || m

Alternative method, you can find the angle opposite to the angle on line l

(c) Consider to the attachment

In line m ,

60° + y = 180°(linear pair)

y = 180 - 60 = 120°

⇒ Angle on l and angle on m are not equal(125° ≠ 120°).

Therefore, l \: is \: not \: parallel \: to \: m.

Alternative method, you can find the angle opposite to the angle on line l
