ii. A solution with a high number of hydrogen ions is acidic in nature and has the low pH value. Anything which is below the value of 7.0 is acidic and anything which is above 7.0 is basic or alkaline.

Thus, the arrangement will be -

Increasing order of concentration of H+ ion is: A > D > B > C

The most acidic solution - A and the most basic solution - C

The change in colour of pH paper on dipping in solution C and D will be - In C- blue and in D- green
