(II) Mg+znso4=MgSo4+zn
which amongst the above reaction will not proceed and why?

1st equation will not proceed as fe (iron ) is less reactive than Zn(zinc) according to reactivity series.

Hee is your answer !!

( i ) Fe + ZnSO4 --> FeSO4 + Zn
This reaction will not proceed since zinc ( Zn ) is more reactive than iron ( Fe ) .
Hence it will not displace zinc from its compound .

( ii ) Mg + ZnSO4 --> MgSO4 + Zn
This reaction will proceed since Mg is more reactive than Zinc and will displace it from ita compound to form MgSO4 .
