( i ) Fe + ZnSO4 --> FeSO4 + Zn
This reaction will not proceed since zinc ( Zn ) is more reactive than iron ( Fe ) .
Hence it will not displace zinc from its compound .
( ii ) Mg + ZnSO4 --> MgSO4 + Zn
This reaction will proceed since Mg is more reactive than Zinc and will displace it from ita compound to form MgSO4 .
