Answer :-

Given :-

  • Principal = Rs. 4000
  • Time = 2 years
  • Rate = 10% p.a.

To find :-

  • Amount
  • Compound interest

Solution :-

\implies\sf Amount = P \Big( 1 + \dfrac{R}{100}\Big)^n

\implies\sf A = 4000 \times \Big( 1 + \dfrac{1\not0}{10\not0}\Big)^2

\implies\sf A = 4000 \times \Big(1 + \dfrac{1}{10}\Big)^2

\implies\sf A = 4000 \times \Big(\dfrac{11}{10}\Big)^2

\implies\sf A = 40\cancel{00} \times \dfrac{121}{1\cancel{00}}

\implies\sf A = 40 \times 121

\implies\sf A = 4840

Amount = Rs. 4840

Compound interest = Amount - Principal

= 4840 - 4000

= 840

Compound interest = Rs. 840

Given :-

  • Principal (P) = Rs 4000
  • Time (n) = 2 years
  • Rate (R) = 10% per annum

To Find :-

  • Amount
  • Compound interest

Formulas :-

Solution :-

{:} \longrightarrow  \sf \: Amount \: = \: Principal \: \times \bigg(\:1 \: + \: \dfrac{Rate}{100}\bigg)^{n} \\ \\  {:} \longrightarrow  \sf \: Amount \: = \: 4000 \: \times \bigg(\:1 \: + \: \dfrac{10}{100}\bigg)^{2} \\  \\ {:} \longrightarrow  \sf \: Amount \: = \: 4000 \: \times \bigg(\dfrac{110}{100}\bigg)^{2} \\  \\ {:} \longrightarrow  \sf \: Amount \: = \: 4 \cancel{000} \: \times \: \dfrac{110}{1 \cancel{00}} \:  \times  \:  \dfrac{110}{10 \cancel{0}} \\  \\ {:} \longrightarrow  \sf \: Amount \: = \: 4 \: \times \: \dfrac{110 \:  \times  \: 110}{10} \\  \\ {:} \longrightarrow  \sf \: Amount \: = \: 4 \: \times \: \dfrac{12100}{10} \\  \\{:} \longrightarrow  \sf \: Amount \: = \: 4 \:  \times  \: 1210 \\   \\ {:} \longrightarrow    \underline{\boxed{\sf \: Amount \: = \: Rs \: 4840}}  \: \blue \bigstar\\   \\

\longmapsto {\pmb{ Compound \: Interest \: = \: Amount \: - \: Principal} } \\  \\ \longmapsto {\sf{ Compound \: Interest \: = \: 4840 \: - \: 4000} } \\  \\ \longmapsto   \underline{\boxed{\pmb{ \red{ Compound \: Interest \: = \:Rs \:840} }}}
