Guard cells :

Regulate the rate of transpiration by opening and closing of stomata.

Tracheids :

Transport of water and provide most of structural support in softwoods.

Vessels :

Efficient system for transporting water from root to leaves and other parts.

Lymph :

Destroy potentially dangerous bacteria and cancer cells and filter water and toxins. It is also responsible for working with circulatory system to help deliver hormones and nutrients to tissues of body.

Phloem :

Transport of sugars from source tissue to sink tissue.

Biocatalyst :

Initiates or modifies the rate of chemical reaction in living body.
