I got the answer 1/√2 but it's answer is √3/√2​

Here, μ is the refracting index.

Ray makes 30° with the surface.

So, it makes 60° with the normal N.

Now,

i = angle of incidence = 60°

r = angle of refraction = 45°

Therefore,

μ =  \frac{sin \: i}{sin \: r}  =  \frac{sin \:  {60}^{0} }{sin \:  {45}^{0} }  =  \frac{ \frac{  \sqrt{3}  }{2} }{ \frac{ 1 }{ \sqrt{2} } }  =  \sqrt{ \frac{3}{2} }
