I got up in the middle of the night, I was sweating profusely. I had had a nightmare, it was a very scary one. Nightmares are common in my life nowadays. Even before, no, don’t get me wrong. I don’t suffer from any kind of sleeping in this but these days, I think I’m suffering from one. It could be a trauma, I guess? But it’s the same dream every single night. The same dream of me, my organs feeling one by one gradually, that’s coming out of my mouth and my eyes falling out. And then I suddenly wake up. Yes, I know, it is scary. Nightmares are scary, that’s why they are called nightmares. My nightmares started when I witnessed that accident. An accident when the bridge fell down it was as if I was the only person there and search tragedy was occurring before me before my own eyes. I guess, I thought I was kind of responsible for it. The whole incident traumatised me. The people falling down screaming crying. The blood splattering all around. Cars getting crushed, people dying, falling from the huge height to dust. And then it was suddenly all chaos. Applying them and then everything which was earlier in slow motion, speed up. It was so surreal. And then I came back to my senses and ran for my life. The thing is, I don’t think this accident for that traumatised me as much if my own father would not have been in the same bridge.

I got up in the middle of the night, I was sweating profusely. The following was what had happened that night: I was enjoying peaceful sleep in the middle of the night. May be I was in a different world of dreams. Then all of a sudden, I was woken up by blood curdling screams. I woke up gasping; my heart pumping madly after the shock. The room was pitch-dark. The night lamp was out. I felt as if two witches from hell were fighting the fiercest battle under my bed. I could not understand what was happening. I screamed too. My scream stilled the commotion under my bed! Then mewing I heard two cats scurrying out of my room.

Coincidently, the night lamp lit after the temporary outage. I switched on the main lights and peeped under my bed. Lying there I found a mangled body of a rat. So the two cats fighting for their prey had scared me to death.
