We all are aware about the superstitious rituals practised in India which should be totally abolished. A few women in India and specially in the inferior parts of India are treated like sacks of money and most of the women are not given any respect.

We are also aware about the marriage rituals in India among which one is the dowry system. This system is one of the worst systems among all the other rituals.In this system the groom's family can ask for any expensive thing from the bride's family and the bride's family has to fulfill their demands at any cost. This practice makes the bride's family suffer a huge loss of money. The poor families sometimes even sell their belongings and jeweleries to fulfill the high demands of the groom and his family.

I totally object against this system as I think that the bride leaves her parental home and settles with her in laws which should be enough for the groom's family as it is not so easy to leave the parental affection and go and live with some other and unknown people. Although the government is working against this and are trying to make everyone understand that girls are not sacks of money and this practice should be abolished.Most of the people have understood this and gradually the dowry system is getting erased from India which will certainly result to the upliftment of women very soon.
