Given :- I have ₹1, ₹2 and ₹5 coins. The total number of coins of ₹1, ₹2 and ₹5 all put together are 85. Also, the sum of amount formed from ₹1 coins and ₹5 coins is equal to amount formed from ₹2 coins. If the number of ₹5 coins is twice the number of ₹1 coins, then the number of ₹2 coins is

(1) 10

(2) 15

(3) 20

(4) 55

Answer :-

→ Let Rs.1 coins are = x

so,

→ Rs.5 coins are = 2x

then,

→ Rs.2 coins = (85 - 3x)

A/q,

→ 1 * x + 5 * 2x = 2(85 - 3x)

→ x + 10x = 170 - 6x

→ 11x + 6x = 170

→ 17x = 170

→ x = 10

therefore,

→ Number of Rs.2 coins are = (85 - 3x) = 85 - 3*10 = 85 - 30 = 55 (4) (Ans.)
