Given : The total number of coins of ₹1, ₹2 and ₹5 all put together are 85.

Also, the sum of amount formed from 1 coins and 5 coins is equal to amount formed from 2 coins.

the number of 5 coins is twice the number of 1 coins

To Find :  the number of Rs 2 coins

Solution:

1 Rs coin  = A

5 Rs coin = 2A   ( Rs  5 coins is twice the number of Rs 1 coins, )

2 Rs coin   = 85 - ( A + 2A) = 85 - 3A

sum of amount formed from 1 coins and 5 coins is equal to amount formed from 2 coins.

=> 1 * A  + 5 * 2A  = 2 ( 85 - 3A)

=> 11A  = 170 - 6A

=> 17A = 170

=> A = 10

1 Rs coin  = 10

5 Rs coin = 20

2 Rs coin   =55

the number of Rs 2 coins    is 55
