1750 money is left.

Step-by-step Explanation:

  • 1000 cash on hand and 1000 in bank account makes 2000.

             1000+1000=2000.

  • Withdraw half of 500, we get that by dividing 500 with 2.

              500/2= 250.

  • Withdraw 250 from bank account so we get,

                1000 - 250 = 750.

  • Add bank account money that is "750" and money on hand i.e. "1000", we get:

                  1000+ 750= 1750.

Scenario 1 : A sum of Rs. 2000 is left.

(If he withdraws the money, and kept them with himself without spending them.)

Scenario 2 : A sum of Rs. 1750 is left.

(If he has spent the money he withdrawed)

Explanation of scenario 2 :

Given that, the person have 1000 cash on hand and 1000 cash in his bank account.

So, the total becomes 1000 + 1000 = 2000 cash.

Then, he withdrawed half of 500 : 500/2 = 250.

So, he withdrawed 250 cash from his bank account.

So, the money left with him is 2000 - 250 = 1750 (If he spends the money he withdrawed.)
