Answer:

Given

Has Rs.1000 in form of Rs.5 and Rs.10. Number of 10 rupee coins is 10 more than the number of 5 rupee coins.

Solution

Let the number of 5 rupee coins be x.

ATQ.

Therefore, amt. in form of 5 rupee coins is 5x.

Number of 10 rupee coins is 10 + x.

Amt. in form of 10 rupee coins is 10(10 + x)

i.e. 100 + 10x

Now, according to this

100 + 10x + 5x = 1000

=⟩ 100 + 15x = 1000

=⟩ 15x = 1000 - 100

= 900

=⟩ x = 900 / 15

= 60

Therefore,

Number of 5 rupee coins = x

= 60

Number of 10 rupee coins = 10 + x

= 10 + 60 = 70

Summary

The boy has Rs.1000 in denominations of 60 five rupee coins and 70 ten rupee coins in total.
