I have 20 pencils .how many pencils will each student get, if I distribute them equally among 1) 5 students and 2) 10 students?​

Total pencils = 20

if pencils are distributed among 5 students then;

= 20/5

= 4

therefore, each student will get 4 pencils.

if pencils are distributed among 10 students then;

= 20/10

= 2

therefore, each student will get 2 pencils.

To find : number of pencils to be distributed to each students.

Given : Total number of pencils = $20$

Solution :

• If number of pencils to be distributed among $5$ students then ,

       $= \frac{20 }{5} \\= 4$  

Hence , $4$ pencils to be distributed to each student.

• If number of pencils is to be distributed among $10$ students then ,

      $= \frac{20}{10} \\= 2$

Hence, $2$ pencils are to be distributed among each students .
