I have 7 candles lit, 2 blew out. How many candles do I have left. 

Well, this is a very interesting and tricky question.

As far as candles left with me are concerned, total 7 candles will be left because, 2 candles, which blew out haven't gone anywhere. Those 2 candles are still with me. 

So, there will be 7 candles left with me, out of which 5 are lit and 2 are extinguished.

So, I will have 7 candles with me.
