I have a bag with only red, blue, and green marbles. The ratio of red marbles to blue marbles to green marbles is 1:5:3. There are 27 green marbles in the bag. How many marbles are there in the bag?

Is it 42 or 43 and why?

Answer:

81 marbles

Step-by-step explanation:

do 1+5+3=9

do 5×9=45

and also 9×1

so there are 9 red marbles, 45 blue marbles and 27 green marbles and when we add them we get 81

so 81 is the answer

Sorry if its isn't well explained I'm actually in a hurry so...

Step-by-step explanation:

let the number of red marbles and blue marbles is to be X.

then,

3x = 27

==> X = 27/3

==> X = 9.

Now,

9+45+27 = 81.

Therefore, there is 81 marbles in the bag.
