let each boys get x marbles
then,
total no. of marbles = 18x
now,
(18x +2) = 20(x-5)
=> 18x + 2 = 20x - 100
=>20x -18x = 2+100
=>2x = 102
=> x = 51
Hence,
Total no. of marbles = 18×51 = 918

Let no of marble be x
no of boys =18
no of marble ditributed to 1boy =x/18
if
no of marble become (x+2)
and no of boys =20
no of marble distributed to each boy=(x+2)/20
According to question
(x/18)-(x+2)/20=5
x=918
no of marble =918/18
=51
no of boys =18
no of marble ditributed to 1boy =x/18

x=918
no of marble =918/18
