Explanation:
in the given circuit 1 ohm and 2 ohm resistor are in series so
Rs = R1 +R2
take R1=1ohm and R2 = 2ohm
Rs = 1ohm + 2ohm = 3ohm
in the circuit 3 ohm and 3ohm resistor in Parallel
so
1/Rp = 1/Rs + 1/R3
where
R3 = Rs = 3ohm
so
1/Rp = 1/3 ohm + 1/3ohm
1/Rp = 2/3ohm
Rp = 3/2ohm
Rp = 1.5ohm
internal resistance= 0.5ohm
so total resistance = 1.5 ohm + 0.5ohm = 2ohm
- 2. We know that from ohm law
- v = iR
- i = v/R
- i = 2v/2 = 1 ampere
- 3. New voltage = 4v
New resistance = 2 .5 ohm
i = 4/2.5 = 40/25 = 1.6A
