I have a system of three blocks, all three different materials; the system is arranged as shown. (massless pulley) I know that m1=471 Kg and m2=483 Kg. I've got the static and dynamic friction coefficients for both blocks as corresponding: μk1=1.44, μs1=1.47, μk2=1.83 and μs2= 2.08. I need to know m3's mass in two cases: (1) where both m1 and m2 move together, one over the other (as arranged) and (2) where one block displaces over the other (do not move together). I do not now where to start :(
