Answer:

Let the number of coin 5 = Rs.x

so the number of coin 2 = 3x

so the number of coin 1 = 160 - 4x

so amount of rs.5 = 5x

so the amount of rs.2 = 6x

a/q

5x + 6x + 160 - 4x = 300

7x = 300 - 160

7x = 140

x = 20

so the number of coin of 5 = 20 coins

so the number of coin of 2 = 60 coins

so the number of coin of 1 = 80 coins

Step-by-step explanation:

\green{question::}

==>I have a total of ₹ 300 in coins of denomination₹ 1, ₹2 and ₹ 5. The number of ₹2 coins is 3 times the number of₹ 5 coins. The total number of coins is 160. How many coins of each denomination are with me?

\green{solution::}

let the total number of rupee 5 coins be x

====> number of 2 rupee coins = 3x.....(given)

====> total coins = 160........(given)

so,

number of 1 rupee coins =

total coins - number of 2 and 5 rupee coins...

===> 160-4x = number of 1 rupee coins

so, solving further

the total amount given is 300

===> amount in 5 rupee coins = 5×x = 5x

===> amount in 2 rupee coins = 2×3x = 6x

solving,

300 = 6x+5x+160-4x

===> 300=160+7x

===> 140 = 7x

===> \boxed\green{20 = x}

so,

the number of 5 rupee coins are x = 20

the number of 2 rupee coins are 3x = 60

the number of 1 rupee coins are 160-4x = 80

so these coins are with you!!!!
