\huge\textbf{Answer:-}

According to the given question:-

  • 300 rupees is the total value.

  • 160 is the total number of given coins.

  • Rupees 1, Rs 2 and Rs 5 are the given denominations of coins.

  • Total Number of Rupees 2 coins = 3y number Rs 5

  • Let y be the number of coins of Rs 5

1 = 160 – (y + 3y) = 160 – 4y

300 = 1 x (160 – 4y)+ (2 x 3y) + (5 x y)

300 = (160 – 4y) + 6y + 5y

300 = 160 – 4y + 6y + 5y

300 = 160 – 4y + 11y

300 = 160 + 7y

  • We need to transpose 160 to Left hand side:-

300 – 160 = 7m

140 = 7 y

  • We need to divide both sides with 7:-

1 = 160 – (4 x 20) = 160 – 80 = 80

  • Substituting the value of y :-

2 = 3y = 3 x 20 = 60

So, here:-

  • 1 = 80 is the Number of coins
  • 2 = 6 is the Number of coins
  • 5 = 20 is the Number of coins of coins.
